Hello all!!

It’s another brilliant Sunday and I am truly grateful to be back here to share details of my Sunday Style and the message from church with you; A wholesome mix of Fashion & Faith.

What I Wore: For today’s service at the Anglican church nearby. I wore a really cute check kaftan dress by Nkwo (New in and available at Zinkata) with a subtle colour contrast as well as knotted sleeve and hem details. I teamed it with red patent pumps, a red beret and a lime green bag by Zashadu.

The Sermon

Today was a first! I must confess I was late for the sermon and got in just as it had finished. However, I was roused by a truly amazing praise and worship session and still felt impacted by some messages shared afterwords.

Today’s sermon was themed; “Holding on to things eternal”.

The reading was taken from the book of Colossians 3:1-11. It is such an amazing passage from the bible and one we should all read and meditate upon. You can click to read it : HERE

In a nutshell, it talks about removing your spirit man from earthly pursuits and pleasures and focusing on things eternal. Sometimes, we are so consumed with manly pursuits and worldly desires that we fail to realise what is truly important; that Christ Jesus came to die for our sins and is the way the truth and the life. He is actually all we truly need. Once we focus on him truly, love him from the depths of our hearts and obey and adhere to his commandments, all will be well with us.(It most certainly will).

Are you a slave to lustful feelings, excessive anger, vanity, malicious tendencies, greed, blasphemy, Lies, Envy and so much more?. All these are carnal and shall certainly obstruct our spiritual growth and derail our eternal journey. May we all have the strength to ask for forgiveness, keenly focus on all things eternal and gladly accept the journey towards transformation.

The journey is “our” choice! Who’s ready to take the bold step?

Have an awesome Sunday everyone.

With All my love,

Ezinne Chinkata
