Adire Print Cake and Red Aso Oke Jacket

Nov 16, 2012 | Fashion

Hey all!! It is another Friday and oh yes, I had quite an interesting meeting. It was at the Nike Centre for Art and Culture, and I met with the CEO and founder Nike Davies Okundaye. She is such a brilliant and warm lady!!! I fell totally in love.

Also, the gallery was brimming with interesting people and such a warm positive atmosphere. I met a delightful lady, Victoria Alabi, and she had the most interesting Adire (African print) Cake, and I fell totally in love. Oh yes, I was all loving and lapping up every experience today, perhaps my red Aso Oke Jacket could be held responsible.

Well, of course I shall share pictures of what I wore to the meeting. I wore a black and white satin shift dress bought by my darling mom from a store called Live Forever in London. I teamed it with a red  hand loomed Aso Oke Jacket,  woven and designed  in Nigeria by designer Kem-Kem Studio, and black Pumps.  I would have felt slightly strange without a Vintage piece, and this time it was my white Vintage bag. This sealed my outfit up nicely and maintained a bit of my ‘VINTAGE PERSONA”.

Oh well!! Have a fabulous weekend and please visit again.
