“What are your thoughts on wearing tights in Lagos/Nigeria /Warmer Climates???
Most people find it inappropriate..with reasons such as:
1.the weather is too hot … .
2.It is a borrowed culture..
A notion I find quite perplexing to be honest.. Are jeans too hot?? We wear much warmer clothing….Tights can serve as pants..just a bit sheerer I suppose..In my opinion, tights can come in really handy.. Very handy to be honest..
Take for example the outfit in the photos below.. I stayed over at a really good friend’s apartment and had nothing to wear the next day.. except for this really cute blue dress with a Peter-Pan collar from Top-Shop..I had a sudden breakfast meeting to go for..not business meeting but still.. BLACK TIGHTS TO THE RESCUE!The tights sort of lent my outfit the much needed “modesty“and was still cool.. They were a life saver..and super comfortable and not hot at all…
