I worked around three trains of thoughts while styling my (Agbada): Matching Print Top and Pants by FIA which features a baggy top and tapered pants.. It is a stylised version of the traditional Agbada worn mainly by men of the Yoruba tradition..An androgynous take you may say..
1. I wanted it to feel more contemporary than traditional
2. Wear a cool head covering as my hair is in dire need of a salon stop-over
3.Be able to wear it to the 6:45 am church service this morning (and be suitably respectable)
… and so.. I styled my FIA Agbada along these lines..
Pearls: To add a more contemporary feel
Beret: Cool covering for my hair and also a bit more contemporary..
Black inner Vest : To protect my dignity..no cleavage etc.. Gracious enough for church no?
Black Pumps: To co-ordinate nicely with the rest of my black additions..

What are your thoughts??? How would you have styled it??
Have an awesome day!!
