Ever so often, we (Zinkata Styling) get the thrilling job of styling A-list actress and super gorgeous human; Omotola Jalade Ekeinde for various types of occasions. Sometimes, the events come in quick roller coaster successions.. with one end goal clearly in mind.. “A Graceful Outcome”
This time, it was for a worthy and exciting cause.. Bono(of the U2 band) and one of the founding members of the #povertyissexist campaign flew in to Nigerian for various activities to facilitate the campaign. Omotola Jalade Ekeinde leads the povertyissexist campaign alongside other ambassadors such as Waje, Zimbabwean singer Selmor Mtukudzi and D’Banj.
The first set of activities was a series of meetings with Bono, the civil society and the other ambassadors. It started off at 11 am . For this, we opted for an Odio Mimonet’s (Nigerian based designer) dutch wax pencil dress with a structured Peplum. It was the perfect dress.. portraying a strong, modern and proudly African Woman.
The second outfit was for a dinner reception at the boat Club. For this Omotola glowed in a Tiffany Amber dress (Nigerian based designer). The cut and fabric was the perfect fit for an evening at the boat club.. Breezy, chic and effortless.
The third outfit was for the second and last day of activities.. A back to back marathon of press conferences and speeches with all the brand Ambassadors and Bono. For this we went with a red-check skirt suit by emerging ready to wear designer, Emmy Kabit (Nigerian based).
What are your thoughts?? We believe it was quite a successful series of outings.. and doubly gratifying because we went with Nigerian designers.. Omotola looked amazing and proudly portrayed our home-grown talents with graceful aplomb.
Have a great Sunday all and Please check www.one.org to join the campaign.
