Wear A SHIRT UNDER IT!!

Sep 30, 2015 | Fashion

Wearing a shirt under a garment automatically updates your look and gives it a very “now” look..Apart from the “seemingly vain” need to appear cool/trendy.. It also solves many  “an awkward” wardrobe situation…

The shirt underneath can come into good use in scenarios such as:

1: You absolutely love a dress but it is showing too much cleavage and you don’t feel it is entirely appropriate for the purpose at hand.. Do not think too hard!! Whip out a cool men’s inspired shirt and wear it underneath the garment.. For that insouciantly-cool look..

2. There’s a really pretty, prim and elegant dress in your wardrobe but it feels a tad bit much for any event you wish to wear it for.. Puurfect! Team it with a shirt and it automatically becomes a fashion statement.. as opposed to looking like you are headed for dinner with the First lady.. Not that we aren’t wishing for that!

In the photos below, I am wearing this beige dress by a Nigerian label called IAFL.. I absolutely love the dress and it comes with a  little cape/jacket.. Today, I ditched the cape and wore a light blue shirt underneath.. ..The cleavage felt a bit much for church this morning.. I went all “cheesy” and teamed it with matching co-ordinates..Sometimes.. “matchy-matchy” is quite fun !
