Meena’s show was the highlight of LFDW..In every sense ….The collection had catchy custom-made prints with distinct inscriptions/etchings. The letterings were formalised pictograms making up Nsidibe; an ancient form of Written communication by the Igbos. Uju Offiah (Creative Director of Meena) created the unique prints for the collection using Nsidibe.
Ranging from tasselled jumpsuits to semi-formal sexy skirt-suits.. Each piece had a mix of drapery and structural offshoots, all coming together to create outstanding individual designs and “devastatingly chic silhouettes“!. I particularly loved a camel cropped trouser suit, with an elaborate plunging neckline and exaggerated sleeves! Outstanding!
