As a die hard patriot, Nigeria’s Independence means so much to me. It means freedom and on an even deeper level it is the perfect time to explore the notion of freedom and what it means to us as a people. Freedom to embrace and project our rich culture and tradition as well as to unite and be one, irrespective of our tribe, religion, culture, status, political leanings and so forth..We are all one.
I am Nigerian and that’s essentially who I will always be🙏🏽 There’s so much work to be done in the nation but there’s also so much to be proud of.Today, I choose to celebrate the beautiful nation I was born into, proudly projecting our culture and tradition through fashion and spreading the positive word of one love and unity as strongly and as doggedly as I can.
I believe that we all have the power to slowly change the narrative and be the change we want to see.. one positive word at a time and one kind act at a time. Slowly, we will be the change we want to see and see the change the nation needs.
Nigeria is beautiful. We are blessed with rich resources and tremendous human capital and Talent. Our culture is diverse and our humour and creative leanings is 💯💯
I love Nigerian fashion.. it is a beautiful representation of all we love and stand for; culture, pride in self, style, elegance, intelligence, folk-lore, traditional crafts.. and so much more..
As we celebrate Independence Day today.. may we project our Nigerian heritage in a unified way and speak a positive word forward for our beloved Nigeria❤️
